One could regard these brooches as the ultimate miniaturisation of the boat models.

They are under the ‘multiple production‘ heading because they were designed for replication. Although some parts are cast, to obtain a three dimensional effect many of the parts, sails in particular, are individually cut and mounted by hand.

All but the sloop model may be made as a man’s belt buckle (with hidden tail) as well as a brooch.
