HMS Endeavour starboard bow
HMS Endeavour low port bow

In 1768 in the Woolwich Yard in England a collier was specifically modified for a gruelling expedition which would extend Man’s knowledge of the world - and set a new continent more firmly on the map. The collier was to become ‘Endeavour’ and the expedition Capt Cook’s to Australia.

This model was built from the same drawings as used more than two hundred years ago.

‘Endeavour’ is one of the older sailing vessels which have in recent years been reproduced as full scale sea going ships.
