It is often desirable that one has a range of
products, at a range of prices, which demonstrate a consistent theme, for
instance where a corporation wishes to project its image as widely as
possible, or an organisation may wish to publicise itself and raise funds.
We are in a position to help develop such thematic groups of products. This
is best demonstrated by the set of products we designed and produced in
relation to the BT Global Challenge Round the World Yacht Race.
We designed and produced the Princess Royal Trophy, the perennial trophy for
the race (see trophies) and then the products
shown above which incorporated much of the theme and symbolism in the
trophy. Details of the items are :-
| All items are in hallmarked sterling silver with gilt detailing
where stated. |
 |
 |
| Plate |
The rim is heavily embossed with the inscription
"The 1996 1997 (BT logo) Global Challenge Yacht Race". At the centre is a
bas relief projection of the six figures of the trophy and of the globe. The rim and
centre piece are gilded (diam:10 inch). |
 |
 |
| Vase |
At the base of the vase is a scaled reproduction of the
six figures of the trophy. The figures and base of the bowl are gilded (ht 10inch). |
 |
 |
| Boat |
This is a model of the Challenge yacht presented sailing
on a vigorous silver sea with seven crew members active on deck. The base is wood and the
silver treated to make polishing unnecessary (ht 6inch). |
 |
 |
| Pendant & Brooch |
The complete trophy is represented here with the six
figures reproduced as a frieze which is gilt. The piece is available as a pendant
with a 22inch chain, or as a brooch (ht 2inch). |
 |
 |
| Paper-Knife |
The same piece as used for the brooch and pendant is
mounted here as a paper knife (8½inch). |
 |
 |
| Cufflinks |
The six headsails have been chosen as
the element of design for the cufflinks. The enamelled globe is
represented by a cabochon pin (or brooch), or tie clip. |
 |
 |
| Tie Pin |
The headsail element and frieze of figures are mounted
here as a tie pin (or brooch), or tie clip. |
